Teach Your Kids… employs stark textual declarations to probe the intersections of authority, social conditioning, and the paradoxes within moral pedagogy. Each directive—painted in an unapologetically blunt, dripping script—acts as a subversion of traditional didactic messages, inviting viewers to confront the often-unexamined narratives surrounding childhood instruction and societal values.
By distorting familiar imperatives, the work dismantles normative expectations, placing the viewer in a space of ironic tension. Here, language becomes both a medium and a mechanism of critique, reflecting cultural anxieties and the fractured ethos of contemporary parenting in a mediated society. The series thus becomes an intellectual inquiry into the performative aspects of socialization, revealing the latent power structures embedded within the act of teaching itself.
